The SCA is an international organization dedicated to researching and re-creating the arts and skills of pre-17th-century Europe. Our "Known World" consists of 20 kingdoms, with over 30,000 members residing in countries around the world. Participants, dressed in clothing of the Middle Ages and Renaissance, attend events which may feature tournaments, arts exhibits, classes, workshops, dancing, feasts, and more. Our "royalty" hold courts at which they recognize and honor members for their contributions to the group.
The Midrealm, is the third oldest kingdom in the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA). Properly known as the Middle Kingdom, it consists of Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, part of Kentucky, a nip of Iowa, and a bit of Ontario.
Constellation Region, modernly known as the state of Indiana, is in the Middle Kingdom of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA). It is home to over 14 local groups.
The Barony of Rivenstar is a branch of the SCA located in the Lafayette | West Lafayette | Purdue University, Indiana area. We are a welcoming and inclusive bunch, happy to share our passion for the middle ages with all comers.
