Activities

All Rivenstar activities are open to the public. You do not need an SCA membership to participate. Please check with the activty's organizer to verify times and locations before attending. The times and locations listed below are guidelines and do not include holidays, adjustments for inclimante weather, or changes in schedule.

Baronial Business Meetings

Days: Mondays | Time: 7:00pm | Location: TBD

Rivenstar's baronial business meetings are one of the best places to find information about upcoming events, baronial activities, and other SCA related information. Each meeting includes the Rivenstar officer's updates, the baronial populace updates, and the societal updates. Contact Lord Jacob MacAndrew for the next date and location.

Arts & Sciences

Days: Tuesday | Time: 6:00pm - 8:00pm | Location: Purdue's Lilly Hall of Life Sciences - Room G401

Open to everyone with a desire to learn, the arts & sciences nights are a general gathering for folks to teach or practice their medevial crafting, or to just socialize while working on a project. Teachers for specific subjects are always welcome for either formal or casual instruction.

Fighter Practice

Days: Wednesday | Time: 8:00pm | Location: Purdue Armory

For over forty years, Rivenstar has held fighter practice on the Purdue campus. Both historic fencing and armored fighting are available. Newcomers are highly welcomed! In order to participate, you should wear athletic shoes, long pants, and long socks. An athletic cup is required for anyone with testicles and recommended for anyone else. Loaner armor and weapons are available.

Dance Practice

Days: Every other Tuesday | Time: 6:00pm | Location: STEW G004F

Dances we do start with simple steps similar to some modern line dancing as well as some complicated courtly dances all of which are super fun! Dances range from couples to large groups.
