Three Saints and a Witch

General Information:

The Barony of Rivenstar invites you to attend our annual Spring event Elizabethan style! So bring your favorite cauldron, broom, and Shakespearean pick up line and join us for a day of good old fashioned frivolity. There will be heavy fighting, fencing, archery, A&S, friends, family and a generally amazing time. We look forward to seeing you there!

We are hosting the Thrown Weapons Regional Championship!

There will be a "Free Donation" yardsale in the A-Frame, all day. A large collection of garb and SCA-related inventory is looking for a new home. This will be a fantastic time to find some extra clothing for Pennsic, or to help newer members get in garb cheap. Everything is sold "as is" and all prices are just an optional donation to the group.

Attention

For those who will be bringing children not their own: There are TWO forms that you will need to bring for each child. They both need to be signed by the child's parent or legal guardian. ONE MUST BE NOTARIZED per Indiana law.

1) This form needs the notarization and should be kept with the child at all times: http://www.sca.org/docs/pdf/treatminor-notary.pdf

2) This form is the usual Minor Waiver: http://www.sca.org/docs/pdf/chldwaiv.pdf.

PLEASE have both these forms filled out and signed/notarized where appropriate for each child you will be bringing that you are not the parent or legal guardian of. This requirement is out of our control and the children affected will not be allowed to attend if they are not completed properly before arrival. Thank you.

Beaded Primroses

Instructor: Lady Beatrix Genevieve Van de Sterren (Stick)

Make a primrose in the style of 16th century Venice. Fee $2.

Trans 101 for the SCA - A Primer

Instructor: Thegn Samson Muskovich

As modern society becomes more open and accepting, transgender individuals are becoming more visible in their representation both in and out of the SCA. Please join us for a discussion about interacting with these members of the populace. Topics will include history, etiquette, basic definitions for the community, and an open forum for attendee questions.

Magic With Wool - Begining Drop Spindle

Misress Isabel Moundoghter

Experience the magic of spinning wool. If you have ever wanted to learn how to spin or need a refresher, this is the class for you. Limit 6 unless you bring your own drop spindle.

Mathildis's Toolbox aka Taking the Next Step

THL Mathildis la Libraire

Come and pick the brain of a scribe who has been making scrolls for the SCA since 2000. See what tools Mathildis uses and recommends, and learn tips and techniques to advance your own work, whether it's an intro to gilding, laying out a scroll, how to use dip pens, trying out vellum for the first time, or anything else that interests you. This class is different every time it's presented, based on what students request during the session. Whether you're an experience scribe looking to try something new, or a complete beginner, this class will have something to offer you.

Care and Feeding of Your Familiar
