Repent for the end is nigh ...or you can join us at Three Saints and a Sinner!
The Barony of Rivenstar cordially invites you to attend their annual Spring event.
There will be Arts and Sciences, including Falconry!
And so much more!
Saturday, April 22nd from 8 AM - 10:30PM EDT
Ross Camp - 9225 W 75 S, West Lafayette, IN 47906
This is a DRY site, by county law. Buildings are handicapped accessible. The grounds are not wheel chair friendly.
For those who will be bringing children not their own: There are TWO forms that you will need to bring for each child. They both need to be signed by the child's parent or legal guardian. ONE MUST BE NOTARIZED per Indiana law.
1) This form needs the notarization and should be kept with the child at all times: http://www.sca.org/docs/pdf/treatminor-notary.pdf
2) This form is the usual Minor Waiver: http://www.sca.org/docs/pdf/chldwaiv.pdf.
PLEASE have both these forms filled out and signed/notarized where appropriate for each child you will be bringing that you are not the parent or legal guardian of. This requirement is out of our control and the children affected will not be allowed to attend if they are not completed properly before arrival. Thank you.
The northern route to the site is not recommended this year because the road through Purdue is going to be closed for construction. The southern route via River Road will be better, even for travelers coming from the north.

10 years ago on a snowy April day I attended my first Three Saints and my first event in the SCA.
Three Saints and a Sinner will be my 10th Three Saints.
So I would like to invite you all to come out and take 10 passes with me over the course of the day, to help me celebrate 10 years of fencing in the Middle Kingdom!
-Master Vindis Sigtrygsom
No animals are allowed in the buildings and no temporary pens can be constructed for them outside of the buildings. Standalone enclosures and crates are fine. All animals must be on leash or contained at all times and curbed/cleaned up after.
Master Falconer Tom Hagovsky will be on site, answering questions and introducing his birds, beginning at 3:30 pm. At 5:15 pm, in the field near the feast hall, he will begin an active demonstration featuring his North American Goshawk, Dulcinea. Photos are allowed (and encouraged!) during the demonstration. After the talk, questions and photos with Dulcinea will be available, as long as the hawk's patience allows.
Instructor: Master Cellach
An introduction to embroidery techniques. Class will include basic stitches, layout, and other fundamentals
We have an area inside the A-frame building for learning, socializing, playing and working on projects. Come hang out and walk away with something new for your kit!
We are concentrating on Make-and-Take projects which you can learn (or even finish) in less than an hour. Learn hand sewing and make a coif. Learn reversible blackwork and decorate a napkin. Learn Leather cutting and stamping and make a coaster. Do you have a period skill you use to make something which will add to an SCA kit? To make it FAST? If you would like to set up several kits for people to work on please let our A&S Coordinator know!
Planning on teaching a class this year? We would love to have you! Please keep in mind that the space is open, and arranged for small groups working around tables. If that will work for you please contact our A&S Coordinator with your class name and preferred time.
There will be games to play!
There will be a small library in the Arts and Sciences Area. If you would like to share any books which people can look at on site (NO CIRCULATION) please mark them with your ownership and drop them off in the Arts and Sciences Library.
All books must be picked up by their owners by 5:00 pm on the day of the event.
Lunch will be served in the A-Frame from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. The lunch price is $5 per person with a $20 cap - to be paid for seperately at the time of lunch.
Feast service will begin at 6:30pm.
Please remember to sign up for feast seating when buying your feast ticket at troll.
